Pre-registration is required prior to attending. All forms must be turned in to Discovery Kids before your 1st day of attendance.
Discovery Kids Child Care
Discovery Kids is a child care center run through Benson Public Schools. We are located in the Early Childhood Center at Northside Elementary and offer care from 6 weeks through 6th grade.
We do accept childcare assistance and have Pathway funding available to families who qualify.

Our family has been using Discovery Kids since the center opened to infants in 2017. Initially, we used the center for drop-in care when our home daycare was closed, this was an extremely valuable option as my husband and I both work full-time. When our home daycare closed, we switched to Discovery Kids full-time for both of our children and have been extremely happy with that decision. The staff communicate with us very well over any concerns with our kids as well as schedule changes and activities that will be taking place. The amount of activities they do throughout the day and the exposure to many other children their age is unique to the childcare center setting. Both my kids love going to Discovery Kids which makes it much easier on us as parents. We will be starting our third child at Discovery Kids this fall in the infant room and I have great confidence that he will be well-cared by their staff members. Our community is extremely lucky to have Discovery Kids as a safe and reliable option for childcare in Benson.

Mission Statement
Discovery Kids is designed to provide childcare where children can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially. Through our daily schedule, each age group will have sensory development, motor development, language development, and social interaction.
Philosophy
At Discovery Kids, we strive to create a learning environment that is safe, stimulating, and encouraging. Children develop knowledge of their world through active interactions with caregivers, peers, materials, and events.
Operations
We are open from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day except New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day.
