Benson Public Schools is seeking a professional and enthusiastic licensed 6-12 Special Education School Teacher, 1.0 FTE
Description: The Special Education Teacher is responsible for developing individual educational plans (IEP), cognitive lesson plans, conducting classroom instruction, and evaluation of student performance. Responsible for communicating student progress with parents/guardians and reporting student performance for local and state records.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- BA/BS Degree
- Valid MN Teaching License for appropriate area of teaching
- Experience working with students
- Strong understanding of the IEP process and documentation
The annual salary range for this position is $55,700 to 80,000. Pay will be determined on qualifications and experience.

Community Education Coordinator
Community Education Coordinator
Benson Public Schools is seeking an energetic, driven, well organized Community Education Coordinator. In this role, you will be a leader in developing, implementing, and promoting engaging programs that enrich the lives of residents of all ages.
Description: The Community Education Coordinator plans, organizes, and oversees educational, enrichment, and recreational programs for youth and adults of all ages in alignment with state guidelines and school board policies. Responsibilities include assessing community needs, managing program registrations and budgets, coordinating facility use, supervising staff and volunteers, and ensuring quality through ongoing evaluation. The coordinator also works to secure supplemental funding through grants and other opportunities to support and expand programming.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in program development, event planning, or a similar field.
- A Community Education Director license is preferred but not required.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in technology and online learning management systems.
Salary: Annual salary range of $45,000 – $60,000. Pay will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Discovery Kids Program Director - 1.0 FTE
Discovery Kids Early Learning Program Director, 1.0 FTE
The Early Learning Program Director will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive and meaningful leadership for Discovery Kids, Early Childhood Family Education, School Readiness, and Voluntary Preschool Programs. Responsibilities will include managing budgets and finances, developing policies, oversight of licensing, ensuring comprehensive and appropriate program activities, and overseeing staff recruitment, orientation, and supervision. This is a year-round position. Annual salary for this positions starts at $40,000. Pay will be determined based on experience.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or an approved field of study.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory position.
- Meet the qualifications of a childcare center Director through DHS Rule 3 licensing, including education, supervision, and experience hours.
- At least 3 years of teaching experience.
Transportation - Substitute Drivers

Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (CDL with school bus endorsement for bus drivers - paid training is available!)

Benson Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and highly energetic individual for a full-time position of Paraprofessional for grades K-5.
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for providing academic, behavioral and physical support to students, under the direction of certified staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school degree, GED, or equivalent experience; and
2. Holds one of the following to meet the Highly Qualified Paraprofessional requirement or will obtain within the probationary period:

- At least two years of college credits (usually 60 credits in Minnesota)
- An AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree
- Obtain the PELSB Paraprofessional Credential
- Passing score of 460 (or higher) on the ParaPro Assessment
- Passing score of 65% (or higher) for the Instructional Support test and 70% (or higher) for the Knowledge and Application test on the Minnesota Service Cooperatives ParaEducator Proctored Test

VPK Instructional Assistant

Benson Early Learning Program has an opening for a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Instructional Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment for young children.
Description: The VPK Instructional Assistant provides support to teachers in Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) classrooms, assisting with the education of 4-year-old children.
Some Key Responsibilities:
· Assisting with instruction
· Supervising children
· Supporting classroom activates
· Maintaining records.
· Assist in ensuring the health, physical and social/emotional well-being and safety of the children at all times
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Experience working with young children.
· CPR and First Aid certified (preferred)
