Elementary Teacher
Elementary Teacher, 1.0 – Benson Public Schools District
Benson Public Schools is seeking a positive and energetic Elementary Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic school year.
Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Elementary School Principal, this person will facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Education/Certification/Licensure Requirement:
- BA or BS Degree
- Teaching license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education with the appropriate grade level and subject rea endorsements (or ability to obtain before the start date)
- Teaching experience preferred but not required
Starting range for this position is: Annual salary range of $47,900 – 87,000

School Psychologist
Special Education Teacher, 1.0 – Benson Public Schools District
Benson Public Schools is seeking applicants for the position of School Psychologist, 1.0 FTE.
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Building(s) Principal, and/or the guidance of the Assistant Director of Special Education, the School Psychologist is responsible for providing a full range of psychological services to support the academic and behavioral competence of students (ages birth to twenty-one), parents, and staff in one or more sites in Benson Public Schools.
Education/Certification/Licensure Requirement:
- Masters in School Psychology and MN license in School Psychology (or ability to obtain)
- Experience working with students preferred
Starting range for this position is: Annual salary range of $70,000 – $90,000

Education School Teacher, 1.0 FTE
Job Summary: The Special Education Teacher is responsible for developing individual
educational plans (IEP), cognitive lesson plans, conducting classroom instruction, and
evaluation of student performance. Responsible for communicating student progress with
parents/guardians and reporting student performance for local and state records.
Education/Certification/Licensure Requirement:
- BA/BS degree
- Valid MN teaching license for the appropriate area of teaching
- Experience working with students
- Strong understanding of the IEP process and documentation
Starting range for this position is: Annual salary range of $47,000 – 85,300

Benson Public Schools is seeking a highly energetic individual for a full-time position of ELL Paraprofessional.
DESCRIPTION: The 6–12 ELL Paraprofessional provides in-class, small-group, and one-on-one support to English Language Learners across grade levels and subject areas. This role collaborates with teachers to assist students in understanding course content, developing academic language, and navigating school routines. The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, and passionate about supporting multilingual students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school degree, GED, or equivalent experience; and
2. Holds one of the following to meet the Highly Qualified Paraprofessional requirement or will obtain within the probationary period:
- At least two years of college credits (usually 60 credits in Minnesota)
- Passing score of 65% (or higher) for the Instructional Support test and 70% (or higher) for the Knowledge and Application test on the Minnesota Service Cooperatives ParaEducator Proctored Test
- Passing score of 460 (or higher) on the ParaPro Assessment
- Obtain the PELSB Paraprofessional Credential
- An AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree
Starting range for this position is: $17.05 - $21.72/hour

Title I Instructional Assistant

Job Summary: Provide Title 1 students in Grades K-5 with additional support in reading and math through the use of small groups or individual instruction. Provides weekly and other periodic assessments to determine appropriate supplemental instruction.
Some of the key responsibilities for the position:
· Reinforce reading skills to identify students in small groups or individual settings using interventions or programs
· Explain, interpret, and provide individual help with classroom assignments in math
